The challenge
Picus Capital, a leading Munich-based venture firm, was raising Venture Fund II, targeting a €250m hard cap. They wanted to bring in HNWIs, private wealth clients and regulated institutions alongside existing LPs. The German fund structure made onboarding diverse investor types across multiple regulatory regimes operationally difficult.
The solution
Titanbay established a Luxembourg SCSp-RAIF feeder fund and managed the entire operational lifecycle: investor onboarding, KYC/AML, capital call coordination and reporting. Institutional investors including M&G and Wilshire invested via the platform, appearing as a single LP on the Picus cap table.
The outcomes
Approximately €100m raised through the feeder. 46 distinct investor regulatory regimes onboarded. M&G and Wilshire invested. Single LP on the Picus cap table. Zero operational burden on the Picus team.
